Epoxy Floors For Shops
ArmorGarage has an epoxy floor and wall coating for any type of shop. See the shop categories in the dropdown list under the Shop By Project Menu. Select the type of shop you have and see the preselected products best suited for your type of shop. Or see our Guidelines on the next slide. All our epoxy flooring systems are designed for first-time users and are assembled in a turnkey package with everything you need to do the job right the first time. So no trying to figure out which components and accessories you need, all you have to do is enter the square footage of your floor into the quantity box and your system will arrive at your door ready for installation with the correct amount of epoxy primers, epoxy coating and topcoat needed for your size floor plus all the application tools required. You won't get any concrete bleed through with epoxy floor coatings like you would with other brands. Not only will you have the best-looking epoxy floor, you'll also have the longest-lasting epoxy floor! Our floors outlast the competition by a mile and routinely last 15-20 years before requiring a simple recoat of the topcoat. Not sure which product is best for you? Or not sure about installing it. Shop Epoxy Floor Guide
The following are our recommended product selections based mostly upon the type of traffic that will be on the floor. You'll notice that we have several products; we don't believe in a one-type epoxy does all scenario. If you are torn between two epoxy systems, let us just say there's no such thing as overkill when it comes to epoxy flooring. Better to have a coating that's overrated than underrated. Autobody Shops, there's only one epoxy coating we would sell to any autobody shop, and that's the Heavy Tonnage System. It's not just for traffic that weighs a lot; it's also for heavy-duty workloads. The only other product would be the garage tiles. Auto Repair Shops, you can use our whole range of products depending on the type and volume of work you do. We have different size formats to better match different floor sizes. As far as which system to use, we would say if you do a lot of work that involves having heavy tools, heavy parts, and abrasive dust getting on or being dropped on the floor. We would use the Heavy Tonnage Epoxy or the Military-Industrial Epoxy at the very least. Use your judgement about how hard your guys are on your floor or if you're a high volume shop. This applies to all shop floors: If your floor is in rough shape and you have minimal downtime available, garage tiles are your best option. Downtime and floor condition are key factors in choosing the right solution. Please keep this in mind as you read the rest of this page. Low volume shops and shops that do relatively clean/light work can use the Commercial System, it's what the US Coast Guard uses in their helicopter maintenance air stations to give you some perspective. Contractor Shops, You can use the same guidelines as above. Click on "Contractor Shops" in the "Shop" dropdown menu and see the Before & After shots of the New Holland Shop that went with the grage tiles for their floor. They could have used the Heavy Tonnage, but had minimal downtime available. That's the kind of work that a lot of contractors do so this is a good reference. Diesel Repair Shops: This is an easy one, Heavy Tonnage Epoxy or the garage tiles, if the budget won't allow for either, then you're better off doing nothing. Otherwise, you'll be just wasting your time and money. Machine & Maintenance Shops: Can also use the auto repair guidelines. If you're a heavy industry machine or maintenance shop, then you need the Heavy Tonnage or garage tiles. If you're a CNC Machine Shop or a light industry maintenance shop, you can use the Commercial epoxy System. Wood Shops: Unless you're a sawmill, you can use the Commercial Epoxy System without any worry, and of course, you can use the garage tiles. We recommend choosing the flat textured finish over the coin if you have rolling equipment and tool chests. See the product pages for a lot more information and please call or email us with any questions you may have, we always encourage asking as many questions as you can, BEFORE you purchase.
