It's very chemical resistant so animal fluids will have no effect on it and the finish is so hard that even the sharpest claws won't harm it either. Epoxy is a very popular choice for vets and animal hospitals because it's durable, nonporous so it's very sanitary and easy to keep clean besides it being a beautiful high gloss finish.
