We received so many calls from people who wanted to paint their concrete basement floors with epoxy but couldn't due to a moisture or water problem in the slab, the inability to etch or grind the floor for proper prepping or the floor is covered with VCT Tiles that are dangerous to remove. So we decided to formulate a couple of epoxy flooring kits for basement floors and they've quickly become one of our most popular kits!
It's a beautiful cost effective way to paint problematic concrete basement floors or encapsulate existing VCT Tiles with a beautiful, waterproof, stain proof and super durable epoxy finish. We always recommend removing the VCT tiles, sometimes this can be dangerous if they are asbestos tiles so please take proper precautions when handling asbestos tiles.
For coating over VCT tiles or coating over the black mastic if you removed the VCT tiles, purchase our Special Primer (above) in addition to the basement epoxy floor kit. We would recommend you do two coats of the Special Primer to ensure good coverage.
If you would like to remove the mastic, we've gotten good feedback from customers who have used Bean-N-Doo Soy Gel to remove the mastic, it's non toxic and makes a very messy job a lot easier. We would suggest you epoxy right over the mastic as this customer did in the images below.

Each kit will cover up to 600 Sf depending on porosity of the slab and texture of the slab. Please note that lighter colors such as Beige will yield less coverage also. We recommend at least a 10-15% safety factor when calculating the square footage of your floor.
For floors above 600 sq ft and up to 850 sq ft order the 850 sq ft kit. For floors greater than 850 sq ft order the appropriate number of full kits than click continue shopping and order the appropriate number of 850 or 600 sq ft kits. You can mix and match to suit the size of your floor. Any leftover epoxy should be put into small jars for safe keeping in case of a any emergency touch up repairs needed.
