Smooth Deck Paint

This is a fabulous wood deck paint, applies very easily and is super durable. We have customers that have had it last 10 years on their decks which is unheard of for a deck paint. They are so happy that they went from coating their decks every spring to now once every 7-10 years.

The reason this is such a superior deck paint is that it is industrial grade and breathable. It lets your wood breathe so that moisture can escape. Trapped moisture freezes during winter months and pushes up through the surface causing your deck coating to peel off every season. In areas that don't have freezing weather the trapped moisture causes delamination after 2 years.

This can be used on floor boards and also on railings and posts if you are using our textured coating. If using on rails and posts select the same color that you are purchasing in the textured coating.

Apply two coats to all surfaces. Coverage is aprox 250-300 sq ft/gallon. Product can be rolled on with a 3/8" nap roller or brushed on.

FREE SHIPPING WITH ORDERS OVER $300.00.

Remove all prior coatings and clean wood. Prior coatings can be sanded off and or chemically removed. If stain was used previously simply sand surface to clean and rough up, stain in the wood is ok as long as the surface is clean. Use our concentrated deck cleaner to thoroughly clean wood. Once wood is completely dry it's very easy to apply and no primer is needed, simply roll on two coats allowing first coat to dry in about 3 hours. Do not apply if rain is forecast within 24 hours or temperature will drop below 50 degrees within 24 hrs.

STOP REPAINTING YOUR WOOD DECK EVERY YEAR!
Decks and porches are the most notorious and most difficult things to keep painted and looking nice at your home. We at the ArmorGarage get hundreds of calls a week from frustrated homeowners seeking solutions for their decks that keep peeling every year! That's why we now offer ArmorGarage super duty deck coating and deck paint. It's specifically designed to look great and not peel or crack off like almost all other deck paints!

Armor Renew It wood deck coating-paint is an engineered ultra high performance textured product that penetrates into your wood deck or porch to give it superior adhesion capability while still allowing the wood to breathe. Armor Renew It is made with Molecular Adaptive Technology, which allows it to have superior wood adhesion, durability, and flexibility. That's why painting with Armor Renew It really works!

Our super deck paint is a smooth finish product that cannot be compared to your typical name brand or Home Improvement Center porch and deck enamels! While claiming to be more durable, those types of deck paints don't let the wood breathe and are incapable of handling the extreme amount of expansion and contraction that occurs in wood, thus making them notorious for peeling off in just one season or less!

Here's the reason why these types of wood deck coatings spend more time lying in pieces on your lawn than sticking to your wood deck or porch. No matter how much porch and deck enamel you put on, it's impossible to seal the wood 100%, which allows moisture to seep into the wood. This is mostly from the unpainted underside and or from little cracks and pinholes in your existing deck coating. That moisture then migrates up towards the surface. Thus, when it wants to evaporate out during a hot sunny day or freeze and expand during a winter day, guess what it does? It pushes right up through your non-flexible, non-breathing enamel, causing the wood deck paint to crack open and peel off.

This is why it's impossible for regular deck paints to stay adhered to your deck no matter how thick you apply them, not even epoxy can stop it from peeling off. In contrast Armor Deck expands and contracts with temperature changes, enabling it to protect your deck with a beautiful and durable coating while letting any moisture inside the wood escape when it wants to.

Continued re-painting with the same type of deck and porch paints will not solve the problem! The only thing this accomplishes is having thicker pieces of paint come off. Only Armor Deck provides a durable finish that won't peel off!

The other great destroyer of wood deck coatings is the sun. Decks with long exposures to sunlight can have their coatings burned off in a year or less. If your deck is exposed to sunlight for most of the day, we suggest you choose a darker color and apply two coats on the floor boards. This will give your paint maximum longevity.

Pressure-treated lumber is notorious for not holding coatings. Infused with chemicals to resist rot, treated wood also resists most common paints and coatings (they won't tell you this at home centers as they want you to buy the more expensive woods and then paint every year)! Armor Deck paint is specially formulated to work on pressure-treated wood. New pressure treated wood should be allowed to age for at least one season prior to coating.

The only proper way to paint a previously painted deck is to remove any prior paint or stains. It's going to come off anyway! To ensure proper bonding make sure your deck is as clean as possible. New wood must be sanded first to remove any 'Mill Glaze'. Weathered wood must also be sanded to remove oxidation, loose fibers or splintered areas. Previously stained surfaces should be sanded bare and then power washed.
