100% Military Grade Epoxy Floor Paint
Extra Thick Formula • High Gloss Finish • Professional Results
What is Epoxy Floor Paint?
Epoxy floor paint is a two-part coating system made from resin and hardener that chemically hardens into concrete, creating a durable, high-gloss protective layer. Unlike regular paint that air dries and sits on the surface, epoxy paint penetrates into concrete pores and forms a molecular bond becoming part of the concrete. ArmorGarage's 100% military grade solids epoxy floor paint contains zero water or solvents – just pure epoxy resin – making it up to 10 times thicker and more durable than standard epoxy paints found in stores.

ArmorGarage 100% military grade solids epoxy floor paint is a versatile, extra-thick coating that works as a standalone epoxy paint for concrete floors, part of a multi-layer epoxy floor system, or applied to curbs and knee walls. Its extra thick formulation provides excellent color coverage over concrete with no bleed through, curing to a beautiful high-gloss finish with deep luster that enhances and brightens any area.
Coverage Options
*Coverage depends on surface texture and porosity
Application Methods
- Direct to concrete: Apply with notched squeegee and roller
- Pitted floors or grout lines: Use flat squeegee to fill imperfections
Where to Use Epoxy Floor Paint
This is a tough and durable floor coating ideal for anywhere you need to:
- Protect floors from ugly stains of any kind
- Prevent wearing from high-volume repetitive traffic
- Stop pitting from chemicals and road salts
- Reduce cleaning and maintenance with non-stick surface
- Brighten areas with high-gloss light-reflective finish
Enhanced Protection with Topcoats
For extra durability and protection, we recommend using one of our optional Urethane Epoxy Topcoats:
- Military Grade Clear Topcoat (4mg abrasion rating) – Incredibly low abrasion loss, chemically hardened finish. Can be used over any ArmorGarage epoxy. Required when using color flakes in your epoxy layer.
- Two-Part Color Topcoat (8mg abrasion rating) – Perfect for extra color coverage when traffic and wear loads are moderate.
Topcoats add extra UV protection, impact resistance, scratch and wear resistance, plus non-slip grip when using non-slip additive. The lower the abrasion rating the better.
Critical Application Instructions
Surface Preparation
- Concrete: Must be acid etched or diamond ground to provide the proper profile for the epoxy to stick to
- Tiles and wood: Must be primed with our Epoxy Bonding Primer first
This is NOT like store-bought or standard off-the-shelf epoxy floor coating. Follow these rules exactly:
- β Mix only 1 gallon combined Part A & Part B per person rolling
- β Use jiffy mixer in power drill on medium speed for 2 1/2 minutes
- β Split epoxy into two separate pails if mixing more than 1 gallon
- β Pour epoxy directly from pail onto floor in a bead
- β DO NOT LEAVE IN PAIL
- β DO NOT MIX A WHOLE SET AT ONCE
If you ignore these instructions, this is what you'll wind up with in 5 minutes (NOT covered under warranty):

Application Process
Pot Life: About 30 minutes per batch – more than enough time to apply one gallon.
- Pour mixed epoxy onto floor in a bead from left to right
- Use notched squeegee to spread out
- Back-roll with 1/4" or 3/8" lint-free roller for final spreading
- Optimal spread rate: About 170-185 SF per gallon depending on surface prorosity and texture
Filling Grout Lines or Pits
- Use flat squeegee for first coat for filling, leaving minimal material on the surface
- Use notched squeegee & roller method for second coat
- Important: Order double the quantity of epoxy when filling grout lines or pits
Curing & Timing
- Cure time: 12-14 hours (depending on temperature and humidity)
- If topcoating: Do not let more than 24 hours pass, or you'll need to lightly sand
- If using primer: Allow primer to dry completely (5-6 hours, no fingerprint when pressed)
