Yellow covers black in a single coat — possible only with factory ground pigment powders. Liquid-tinted epoxies cannot achieve this. This means you can stripe over dark floors without stripping first.
Why ArmorGarage Line Striping Epoxy
The Pigment Powder Advantage
Most line striping epoxies use liquid colorant tints — essentially concentrated dye stirred into the resin. It's cheap to manufacture but produces washed-out color that fades faster under traffic and UV exposure. The pigment particles are inconsistent in size and poorly dispersed throughout the resin.
ArmorGarage uses factory ground pigment powders. The pigment is mechanically ground at our manufacturing facility and homogeneously dispersed into the resin under controlled conditions. The result is dramatically deeper color saturation, more uniform coverage, and significantly longer color retention under abrasion and UV.
What this means on your floor: Bolder, more vivid safety lines from Day 1 — and they stay that way for years longer than liquid-tinted competitors. The color goes all the way through the film, so even as the surface wears under forklift traffic, the line stays bright and visible.

Application Instructions
Surface Preparation
- Clean the surface of all oil, dirt, grease, and loose debris. For best results, clean with TSP solution (1 cup per 5 gallons of water) and allow to dry. Floor must be 100% dry.
- Abrade the surface for faster results. The VEVOR 7" Edge Grinder does a good job — eliminates 24–48 hours of dry time from wet washing and gives the epoxy a mechanical profile to grip.
- Tape off your lines using high-quality masking tape or duct tape. Press the tape edges firmly against the concrete to prevent bleed-under, which causes ragged line edges.
Mixing & Application
- Stir Part B (resin) first to re-disperse the factory ground pigment that may have settled during storage. This ensures full color depth.
- Pour all of Part A (hardener) into Part B and mix thoroughly with an electric drill and jiffy-type mixing blade for 3 minutes. Scrape the sides and bottom of the can.
- Apply immediately after mixing. Use a narrow short-nap roller for best results. Float the roller over the surface rather than pressing hard — roller pressure controls final film thickness. A brush can be used for tight areas.
- Remove tape while the epoxy is still tacky for the cleanest edges. If you wait until the epoxy is fully cured, run a razor down both sides before removing for a clean edge.
Working time is limited. Once mixed, the epoxy will begin to set. Do not leave mixed material sitting in the bucket — pour into roller pan and roll immediately. At 75°F, pot life is approximately 35 minutes. At lower temperatures you'll have more working time.
Apply at 35°F and above. Unlike competitors that require 45°F+ surface temps, our formula cures reliably down to 35°F. Stripe in early spring, late fall, or in cold facilities where other products simply won’t work.
Surface tolerant: Bonds directly to steel, concrete, or previous coatings. No primer needed. This alone can save days of project downtime.
