Basement Floor Epoxy

Basement Epoxy Floor Kits

Epoxy for dry or wet basement floors. We formulated these kits because so many customers couldn't coat their basement floors due to moisture problems, inability to etch or grind the concrete, or floors covered with VCT tiles that are dangerous to remove.

Our basement epoxy is a three-part system with a built-in primer featuring our patent-pending adaptive molecular technology β€” bonds to less-than-perfect surfaces with minimal prep.

Stop Repainting Your Basement Floor

Now you can get the unmatched beauty and durability of a real epoxy floor rather than settling for a retail-grade enamel or water-based basement floor paint that requires constant repainting and cannot be applied to floors with moisture issues.

Our basement epoxy is a beautiful, cost-effective way to transform problematic concrete basement floors or encapsulate existing VCT tiles with a waterproof, stain-proof, super-durable epoxy finish. Only ArmorGarage Basement Epoxy lets you coat your floor with minimal prep.

Coating Over VCT Tiles & Black Mastic

We always recommend removing VCT tiles when possible, but sometimes this can be dangerous if they are asbestos tiles β€” please take proper precautions when handling asbestos tiles. If removal isn't an option, our system handles it.

For coating over VCT tiles or coating over the black mastic left behind after removing them, purchase our Epoxy Bonding Primer (available on the product pages under Related Products). We recommend two coats of Bonding Primer to ensure good coverage. With our proprietary Bonding Primer, you can prime right over the black tile adhesive, saving you untold heartache trying to remove it.

Tip: We suggest you epoxy right over the mastic as the customer did in the images below. If you prefer to remove it, customers have had good results with Blue Bear Bean-E-Doo Mastic Remover β€” it's non-toxic and makes a very messy job much easier.

Wet Basement? We Have You Covered

When we refer to a β€œwet basement,” we mean water coming up through the bottom of the slab β€” not water leaking onto the floor from above. Water from above the slab has no effect on the epoxy.

Our Wet Basement Kit allows you to seal in moisture with the highest hydrostatic pressure resistant primer/sealer available, which is fully compatible with our epoxy paint. The result is the same beautiful, durable finish β€” even on slabs with active moisture vapor transmission.

Not sure if your slab has moisture? Duct tape a 4' Γ— 4' piece of plastic sheeting to the floor, sealing all four sides. Let it sit for 24–48 hours. If moisture is present under the plastic when you peel it up, order the Wet Basement Kit instead of the Dry Basement Kit.
