ArmorGarage Shield is a 1-Part no mixing hybrid outdoor polyurethane sealer. Can be used on virtually any surface, including Pavers, Block, Stone, Concrete, Masonry, Wood, Pool Decks, and virtually any other surface! It's odorless (low VOC) makeup allows for it to dry extremely fast. Can recoat in as little as 30 minutes per coat making 1 day installations easy. Simply brush, roll or spray on the material and let it dry. 3 coats minimum recommended if using as a standalone coating. This product is UV-stable, making it a great sealer for many outdoor applications. It can withstand vehicle traffic and can be used to seal raw concrete. Works best on unsealed surfaces; however, it can be used over sanded/roughened water-based sealers.
If you are unsure of what type of coating you currently have then it is best to remove the coating entirely before proceeding with application.
Dries to the touch for recoating in 30 minutes. Full curing process takes no longer than 48 hours even at the lowest of temperatures. For example at 45°F full curing process takes 48 hours however at 90°F it will only take 18 hours making for quick and easy installations. Re-coat time for multiple layers is when the first coat is dry to touch. 3 Coats recommended when applying directly onto concrete, stone or pavers, 1-2 coats when applying over ArmorGarage Liquid Waterproof Membrane.
This product can also be used as a topcoat with our Armor Liquid Membrane Coating. Minimum of 1-2 Coats required when applying over Liquid Membrane. It's applied at a ratio of 1 gallon of topcoat to every 2 gallons of the membrane.
Sold in Clear as the standard color. Gloss-only finish also available in 9 optional colors. Available in Pint, Gallon, and 5 Gallon units. Coverage per gallon is approx. 150-200 SF @ 3 Coats. 450-600 SF @ 1 Coat. Please note coverage will vary based on substrate porosity.

APPLICATION
Sweep, vacuum or power-wash debris off of surface. Remove any sealers if unsure what type was applied. If water based, sand to roughen surface. Substrate needs to be free and clear of any dirt, debris and other contaminates before application can begin.
Stone, concrete and masonry surfaces should be acid etched clean with a 3:1 solution of water to muriatic acid by wetting surface and scrubbing in mixed solution, let sit for 5 minutes then rinse with a TSP Powder solution to neutralize and bring the surface back to the proper PH. Allow surface to dry a minimum of 24 hours. Surface must be 100% dry.
WITH ROLLER
Use a 1/2 nap ” roller. Allow any pre-treated areas to dry to the touch. Apply a THIN coat of Armor Shield with brush or roller
over substrate including pre-treated areas. Ensure to apply coating thinly. Depending on temperature and RH you can
apply a second coat of Armor Shield appx. 15-90 minutes after the first coat has been laid down. Coating is ready for next coat when no fingerprints is left when pressed into. Apply second coat of Armor Shield over the first coat. Allow for coating to dry to the
touch, before applying 3rd coat. When last coat has dried to the touch, inspect final surface for pinholes, voids, thin spots or
other defects. A nonskid skid additive may be needed to increase texture and help slip mitigation. Mix nonskid addtive into the last layer at one Armor Grip pack per gallon. Additional coats may be required if using non skid additive.
WITH SPRAYER
Sweep debris off of surface
Use airless sprayer with tip size 17 at 850-1,000 PSI. Position the airless sprayer gun at 18” away from the floor and coat the
entire floor evenly. Depending on temperature and RH you can apply a second coat of Armor Shield appx. 15-90 minutes
after the first coat has been laid down. Refer to the drying times chart in the TDS for more information. Apply second coat of
Armor Shield over the first coat. Allow for coating to dry to the touch, before applying 3rd coat. When last coat has dried to
the touch, inspect final surface for pinholes, voids, thin spots or other defects. A nonskid skid additive may be needed to
increase texture and help slip mitigation. Mix nonskid addtive into the last layer at one Armor Grip pack per gallon. Additional coats may be required if using non skid additive.
NOTES
Safety Data Sheets for Armor Shield are available upon request.
Over time due to normal wear, abrasion, traffic and cleaning. Generally, high gloss coatings are subject to a reduction in gloss, while
matte finish coatings can increase in gloss level under normal operating conditions.
Excessive service conditions, such as steel- or hard plastic-wheeled traffic or dragging heavy metal equipment or loaded pallets with
protruding nails over the surface, are categorized as misuse and abuse.
Allowances must be made for scratches or abrasions that occur due to moving or sliding furniture or fixtures over the surface
