Epoxy Flooring for High Chemical Exposure

ArmorGarage has a full line of acid-resistant Novolac Epoxy floor coatings and concrete repair compounds that provide the highest level of protection against hundreds of chemicals and acids.

Novolac epoxies are a class of epoxy coatings specially made to resist caustic acid and chemical spills. Novolacs cannot be compared to any standard type of solids epoxy, and certainly not any kind of water-based epoxy coating.

Know the Difference: Standard solids-based epoxies are resistant to vehicle fluids and offer a moderate level of protection against some acids and chemicals, and water-based epoxies offer just about no protection. If you need true protection against caustic chemicals and acid spills, you want the highest quality Novolac epoxy floor coating.

We've done extensive research and field testing to ensure that when you choose an ArmorGarage Acid Shield epoxy coating, you will be getting the highest corrosion protection possible.

Used the Wrong Epoxy? We have a solution — just make sure all loose paint is removed and the remaining paint is scuffed up. Then, apply a coat of our amazing bonding primer to ensure our epoxy sticks to your existing coating. Apply our Acid Shield Epoxy the next day. The image below demonstrates what happens when the wrong epoxy is used, early coating failure that can lead to costly concrete repairs or replacement. The difference is easy to see when the right epoxy floor coating is applied.

Epoxy Flooring for Low-Level Chemical & Acid Exposure

Some floors don't need the full protection of our Acid Shield Epoxy, but still need more than a standard epoxy coating.

We put together a package consisting of two coats of our Novolac basecoat that offers protection for caustic washdown areas, battery charging rooms, and forklift storage areas, which don't need Novolac level protection but need more protection than standard epoxy flooring provides.
