Fast Dry Epoxy Primer
A quick-curing epoxy primer that dries in as little as 2 hours — versus 5–8 for standard primer — so you can prime and topcoat the same day when downtime is critical, while boosting adhesion and adding thickness to the finished floor.
What is Fast Dry Epoxy Primer, and when should you use it?
Use our Fast Dry Epoxy Primer when downtime is critical. Increases adhesion and strengthens finished coating as it provides for a thicker final floor finish. Dries in as little as 2 hours as compared to 5-8 hours for standard primer dry times. Coverage is 270 sf/gal.
How do you apply it?
Simple application: mix 1/2 gallon of Part A & 1/2 gallon of Part B per person rolling at the ratio on label and roll out like regular paint. Do not mix more than you can apply in 10-15 minutes. Depending on floor porosity primer may dry streaky, this is normal especially with Beige. The application of epoxy layer or topcoat will hide any unevenness in the primer finish.
When can you apply the next coat?
Allow coating to dry until dry to the touch without leaving any fingerprints and then roll on epoxy or topcoat. Do not let more than 20 hours pass from completion of primer application to the application of the next layer of coating. If coating window is missed, rough up primer with 120 grit to provide a profile for the next layer of coating to adhere to.
