Sealcoat is a thin, black asphalt emulsion whose job is to slow oxidation. It smells, it comes in one color, and it wears off in a year or two, which is why sealcoating is a recurring line item for both you and asphalt contractors. An epoxy-bound patch, not cold patch or more asphalt. Bagged cold patch and hot-mix repairs rely on compaction and never truly bond to the old pavement, so freeze-thaw and tire loading work them loose and you're filling the same hole next year. Our runway-grade asphalt mortar is a tar-based epoxy with a special aggregate blend — it bonds to the existing asphalt, stays flexible, and cures roughly ten times stronger than the pavement around it. It goes in and never comes out.

Coverage is 6 square feet at 1/4" from a 2-gallon set and 24 square feet at 1/4" from a 5-gallon set. Make the repair first, then coat over it with Surface Bond and it disappears.
