What Is Epoxy Flooring?

Epoxy flooring is a professional-grade coating system that transforms concrete into a durable, high-gloss surface.

How It Works:

  • Two-part system: Resin + pigments mixed with hardener creates
  • Chemical bonding: Polymerization cross-links molecules into a hard shell epoxy floor
  • Penetrates concrete: Bonds INTO the slab, not just surface for unbreakable adhesion
  • Seamless finish: that's high-gloss, high-strength, and non-porous

vs. Paint:

  • Paint air-dries on surface → Weak adhesion

Proper preparation ensures your epoxy floor lasts 10-15+ years. Here's what you need:

  • 100% dry slab without damp spots
  • Clean surface acid etch (twice on new & very dirty floors) or diamond grind
  • Temperature: 55-100°F during application
  • Enough product for full coverage (order with 10% safety margin)
  • Proper ventilation (our epoxy is odorless, but primers/topcoats may have odor)
  • Calibrated mixing cups for accurate mixing of the Part A & B epoxies
  • Xylene or mineral spirits for cleanup (epoxy doesn't come off once cured!)
  • Tarp to create mixing area
